Phase - measurement interferometry these errors
نویسنده
چکیده
Phase-measurement interferometry (PM!) techniques enable quantitative measurements to be performed in optical testing, holographic interferometry, and speckle metrology. This paper will present results of error analyses of the most common errors in phase-measurement techniques. These errors include miscalibrated and nonlinear phase shifters, detector nonlinearities, detection quantization, vibration and air turbulence, and frequency mixing. Simulations providing the magnitude and form of these errors are shown for a number of different phase-measurement algorithms.

Phase-shift calibration errors in interferometers with spherical Fizeau cavities.
Phase-demodulation algorithms in interferometry often depend on a sequence of evenly spaced reference phase shifts. These phase shifts must be accurately calibrated and can be distorted by geometric effects, especially when spherical components with high curvature are tested. Here the resulting measurement errors are quantified through mathematical analysis, and it is shown that modern phase-es...

In this paper, we report on the design and fabrication of a low-cost phase shifter for application in phase shifting interferometry. Phase shifting interferometry is a powerful method for surface characterization. It uses interference data recorded during a series of predetermined phase shifts to recover the induced phase by the object surface. These controlled phase shifts are typically perfor...

The measurement accuracy of an interferometric optical test is generally limited by the environment. This paper discusses two single-shot interferometric techniques for reducing the sensitivity of an optical test to vibration; simultaneous phase-shifting interferometry and a special form of spatial carrier interferometry utilizing a micropolarizer phase-shifting array. In both techniques averag...
متن کاملBackprojection SAR interferometry
Synthetic aperture radar (SAR) interferometry uses the phase difference between two SAR antennas to obtain an elevation estimate of the imaged terrain. Using an initial digital elevation model (DEM), the time-domain backprojection algorithm implicitly removes the terrain height phase from images during image formation. The use of a DEM during image formation adds additional information to the p...
